We first met on OkCupid, with a 98% match. Skye was drawn to this photo, and sent Em a quote from the hobbit. “There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.”
Em thought Skye had a good smile in this photo. We had our first date at Trout Lake park on July 25 of 2018. Skye brought hand picked blackberries and we climbed a tree.

We went on a trip to New Zealand after knowing each other for 4 months! Here we are on a 5 day hike.
and then we immediately moved in together when we got back, in January of 2019.

every year with our incredibly on theme halloween costumes at the parade of lost souls... this one was undersea.
so much of our relationship was struggling through the pandemic but we made the best of it in our little backyard.
and then we bought our canoe, to skye's delight.
our second anniversary we spent on the bluffs of lighthouse park with our big chairs.
we've been on the road a lot together, here we are on our 3 week rockies trip with Bilba Waggins, in all her glory.
and then in november of 2020 we gained a new family member, the love of our lives.
we spent almost all of our time training and playing with ori
gallavanting through the canyon trails together.
We stayed in our north van apartment for two years! This beautiful view was right in our backyard. We still miss it.

We celebrated our third anniversary just after moving into our new home that we bought together!

we spent new years 2022 there together.
we went to tofino, where we surfed for the first time and fell in love with it.

no matter the weather we are in our hammock.
2023 was our favourite year together so far.
We started cross country skiing!
and got to go to costa rica! we were so happy to get to surf again.
when we got back, skye proposed on the shores of pitt lake.
ori was thrilled
Although technically em was already taken.
we made it to a few music festivals!
and as usual, we spent a lot of time camping.
in the fall we were super lucky to get to go to norway!
For the everything everywhere all at the parade we were an omniversal being of unimaginable power, jobu tupaki.
